THE RAT PACK
Saturday, June 2nd, 2012 at 7:30 P.M.
Crighton Theatre

Return to the glitz and glamor of the early 1960's Las Vegas, when a trio of friends, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr., teamed up to perform together at the luxurious Sands Hotel. DIRECT FROM VEGAS THE RAT PACK® will bring you back to the age when swank was king and Vegas was the coolest spot in the universe.
You won't believe your eyes and ears as the hippest bunch of cats saunter on stage and come to life in this nostalgic revue, featuring a six piece orchestra. Steve Apple as Dean Martin, Gary Corsello as Frank Sinatra and Nicholas Brooks as Sammy Davis Jr., come together to portray the ultimate nightclub act ever assembled. Singing, telling jokes, and doing impressions, The Rat Pack turned the world on it's ear with it's upbeat entertainement style and smooth comedy routines, many of which were ad-libbed. Drawing high rollers, VIPs, celebrities and entertainement buffs to Las Vegas, The Rat Pack became the very essence of cool, and giants in the enetertainement industry.
Apple, Corsello, and Brooks are considered to be the finest performers embodying the legendary men - voices, mannerisms and playfulness come together and are expertly portrayed. Backed by exceptional musicians from bands such as the Jimmy Dorsey, Glen Miller, Harry James, and Les Brown orchestras, "Direct From Vegas" orchestra will set the mood with classic songs like "Luck be a Lady", "The Lady is a Tramp", "I've Got You Under My Skin", "That's Amore", "Ain't That a Kick In The Head", and Sammy Davis Jr.'s signature song "Birth of The Blues", among many more.
